Breakout Groups
Raison d'Être
Large classes are wonderful, and we have some great ones lined up. However, individual feedback is a really great way to learn. Furthermore, this is not a typical workshop, where knowledge is distributed in only one direction. All our instructors are here not only to teach, but also to learn.
These breakout groups will provide an opportunity for all participants to not only get individual feedback and a chance to ask questions, but also to share their ideas about blues & tango dancing. We are planning to have a representative from each group participate in an open forum.
Details
On Sunday around noon, groups of 8-12 participants will convene in small studios or even homes around San Francisco and the East Bay. The groups will be as diverse as we can make them, and we will coordinate with housing so that, ideally, nobody has to cross the Bay Bridge in the morning. There will be a tango teaching couple and a blues teaching couple. The format is very flexible, but it may include a request to have a group discussion about the similarities and differences between blues and tango.
